FBI Announces the Arrest of a Bank Robber
The FBI announces that BRIAN MARTIN ROBERTS, 40, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is in federal custody and facing federal charges for his alleged involvement in the We Financial Credit Union branch robbery at 2246 Wilton Drive, Wilton Manors, Florida on Aug. 13, 2019.
ROBERTS was arrested without incident in Fort Lauderdale Thursday afternoon, Aug. 15, 2019, by the Fort Lauderdale Police Department on unrelated charges.
His initial appearance is anticipated to be today, Aug. 16, 2019, in Fort Lauderdale federal court. The complaint detailing the charges can be found in PACER under the Southern District of Florida in due time.
The Wilton Manors Police Department, Fort Lauderdale Police Department, and the FBI Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force continue their investigation.
No further information will be released at this time.
