SAN JUAN, PR-Special Agent in Charge Douglas A. Leff, of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) San Juan Field Office, announced the arrest of Richard Brian Biemuller.
On November 7, 2019, Biemuller, a resident of New Jersey, was arrested by FBI agents of the Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force and charged under a complaint with violations of Title 18 United States Code, Section 1591(a)(1) - Sex trafficking of children, and Section 2423(b) - Travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct-for events, which took place in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Biemuller came under investigation by the FBI on November 6, 2019, when he was reported for allegedly attempting to get hotel staff to coordinate a sexual encounter for him with a female minor. He was later arrested by FBI agents in the same hotel for offering to pay for sex with a 14-year-old girl.
This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) Nick Cannon and is being investigated by the FBI. If found guilty, subject faces a maximum penalty of life in federal prison.
