FBI Announces the Arrest of an Alleged Armed Robber

The FBI announces the arrest of Jaja Williams, 23, of Miami Gardens, Florida, for his alleged involvement in the armed robbery of a Family Dollar at 19721 NW 37th Avenue, Miami Gardens, Florida, on July 20, 2019.

Williams was arrested without incident yesterday, December 4, 2019, by the Miami Dade Police Department.

He is now in federal custody and faces Hobbs Act Robbery charges.

His initial appearance is anticipated to be today, December 5, 2019, in Miami federal court. The court documents detailing the charges can be found in PACER under the Southern District of Florida in due time.

Media coverage of the Wanted by the FBI press release on Williams issued on Dec. 2, 2019, resulted in a public tip that led to his arrest.

The FBI and its Violent Crime Task Force are involved in this matter as part of an initiative to assist local law enforcement agencies in combating violent armed robberies.

The Miami Dade Police Department, Miami Gardens Police Department and the FBI Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force continue their investigation.
