Folk Music at National Park’s Chellberg Farm 08-28-22

Relax on the front lawn of Chellberg Farm for an evening of music on Sunday, August 28, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  The Save the Tunes Council is a group of local musicians devoted to preserving and passing on folk songs in the traditional way, using a variety of traditional musical instruments including guitar, autoharp, dulcimer, banjo, harmonica, bagpipe, penny whistle, hurdy gurdy, and other obscure instruments. Please bring a blanket or folding chair for this outdoor performance on the lawn of the Chellberg Farmhouse.  

The Chellberg Farm parking lot is located on Mineral Springs Road between U.S. Highway 20 and U.S. Highway 12 in Porter, Indiana. The national park’s new entrance fee went into effect as of March 31, 2022. The fee is $25 per car for a 1–7-day pass. A $45 annual pass for the Indiana Dunes National Park is also available. Holders of the following federal passes will not pay an entrance fee: Annual, Senior, Veterans/Military/Gold Star Family, 4th Grade, Access (disability), and the Volunteer Passes. Please purchase passes or pay entrance fees at the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center or at www.recreation.gov/sitepass/indu. When parking, display pass or receipt on the rearview mirror or dashboard.
