BLM Hosts 4th Public Workshop on Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone Mitigation Planning

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will host a fourth public workshop and webinar for the Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone (SEZ) Solar Regional Mitigation Plan (SRMP) will be held on Wed., Feb. 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Hampton Inn Tropicana, 4975 S. Dean Martin Dr., in Las Vegas.The BLM will present options and seek additional stakeholder input on: 1) mitigation fee valuation/costing; 2) regional mitigation objectives and priority setting; and 3) mitigation fee structures/pooled investment funds and implementation.During the past workshops held in August, November, and January, the BLM shared information about their solar energy program and held discussions on developing regional mitigation plans as outlined in the Final Solar Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement that was released last July.An agenda for the February workshop, summary of past workshops, responses to frequently-asked questions, and other documents related to the Dry Lake SEZ Mitigation project can be found on the project website at www.blm.gov/nv/st/en/fo/lvfo/blm_programs/energy/dry_lake_solar_energy.html.The workshop will also be available via webcast.
