DOLORES, Colo. - The Anasazi Heritage Center will be closed to the public on Aug.10 for maintenance of its water system.
Canyons of the Ancients National Monument will remain open for visitation, and the center will reopen to the public on Aug. 11 at 9 a.m. Previously scheduled public programs and special exhibits will resume.
“We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this closure," said Marietta Eaton, Anasazi Heritage Center manager.
Visitors may get general information about the monument seven days a week at the Colorado Welcome Center, 928 E. Main St. in Cortez. Information is also available at the Dolores Public Lands Office located at 29211 Highway 184 in Dolores.
