BLM Winnemucca District announces closure of Black Rock Visitor Center on November 9, 2017

WINNEMUCCA, Nev. - The Black Rock Visitor’s Contact Center, located at 200 Transfer Rd. in Gerlach, NV, will close for the season on November 9, 2017.

This year the station saw a record 1363 visitors between mid-May and November with a record 184 visitors on Labor Day. "We look forward to seeing the public out there next year. Depending on the winter and spring weather, the Station will probably re-open in mid-May 2018", said Mark Hall, Black Rock Field Manager.
