SALT LAKE CITY - The Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Forest Service, and U.S. Department of Energy will hold a public workshop on June 13, in Richfield, UT, to gather input on ongoing reviews of regional energy corridors on Federal lands managed by the BLM and FS.
The corridors - commonly known as “West-wide" or “Section 368" Energy Corridors - were designated under direction of Section 368 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 to support siting of oil, gas, and hydrogen pipelines, as well as electric transmission and distribution lines.The BLM and the Forest Service designated approximately 6,000 miles of corridors, and later agreed to review the corridors in a court agreement with environmental groups.
The public workshop will be held fromat the Sevier County Administrative Building, 250 N. Main St., Richfield, UT.
