GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-The Bureau of Land Management is offering a cash reward for information leading to the identification of suspects responsible for recent vandalism in the Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area.
On June 28, BLM staff reported numerous spray-painted graffiti on rocks in the Potholes Recreation Site. The vandalism likely occurred a few days prior to their discovery.
“The BLM, its neighbors and visitors to our public lands have a shared stewardship responsibility to ensure future generations can enjoy those lands," said Collin Ewing, National Conservation Area Manager. “We take acts of vandalism seriously and it is important that those responsible are held accountable."
BLM law enforcement is investigating the crime and offering a $1000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
