ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Bureau of Land Management Anchorage Field Office is seeking public input on an Environmental Assessment of a right-of-way request from the U.S. Air Force for continued operation of the King Salmon Air Station.
The Public Land Order that withdrew the land for use as an Air Station was issued in 1991. That withdrawal expired and the land returned to BLM management. The new right-of-way will ensure continued operation of the King Salmon Air Station while the new withdrawal application is pending.
The BLM welcomes and values diverse views about the public land it manages on behalf of the American people. Comments on the Draft Environmental Assessment will be accepted through Feb. 22, 2019.
