LAKEVIEW, Ore. - The Bureau of Land Management’s Southeast Oregon Resource Advisory Council will meet virtually Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021. Planned agenda items for the meeting include a review/recommendation regarding proposed actions by Burns, Vale, and Lakeview BLM districts, a presentation on projects related to the Great American Outdoors Act, and an update on the Lakeview Resource Management Plan Amendment.
“The RAC provides input on a wide range of BLM activities throughout the State," Lakeview District Manager Todd Forbes said. “This diverse group of individuals from across Southeast Oregon share different perspectives and help inform our decision making."
The meeting will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The meeting is open to the public, with a 30 minute public comment period scheduled for 9:20 a.m. Individuals who want to make a statement during the public comment period are encouraged to also submit a written copy of their statement at the meeting for the administrative record.

The Southeast Oregon RAC meets multiple times a year. It is one of several citizen advisory councils to BLM Oregon/Washington. Its 15 members are appointed by the Secretary of the Interior and represent a broad range of public land interests, including environmental, local government, recreation, timber, and commercial activity. The Southeast Oregon RAC advises the BLM in Southeastern Oregon, including the Vale, Burns, and Lakeview districts.
