ROSEBURG, Ore. - The Bureau of Land Management Roseburg District is closing Francis Creek Road from the junction with the Canton Creek Road north to the Roseburg District boundary due to fire activity associated with the Rough Patch Complex effective Friday, Aug. 6.
Francis Creek Road (BLM road 24-1-26) from the junction with Canton Creek Road (BLM road 25-1E-31) north to the Roseburg District boundary in Township 24 South, Range 1 West, Section 1, will close at 12:01 a.m. Friday, Aug. 6, and remain closed until wildfires in the area are declared controlled.
As of Wednesday evening, the Type 2 complex had burned 841 acres, with containment of 3 percent. Recreationists are advised to stay clear of the area and as to not obstruct active fire operations.
