CASPER, Wyo. - Step back in time this weekend with tasty Dutch oven treats and an 1864 military camp at the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center.

August 21 and 22, stop by and learn about the gear, marches, medicine, and daily life of a soldier on the Historic Trails as living historian Nic Skalicky and his troops transport visitors back into an 1864 military camp.

Be sure to bring your appetite to learn from living historian Jean Smart, who will demonstrate pioneer Dutch oven cooking. Smart specializes in handmade clothes and homecooked foods and her love for trail history is baked into every dish.
