(BUTTE, Mont.) - East Bank Campground, along the Big Hole River eight miles west of Wise River, has re-opened, while other surrounding areas remain closed due to the Alder Creek Fire.
The fire prevention order, signed by Butte Bureau of Land Management Field Manager Lindsey Babcock, took effect on Oct. 6. The order re-opens the agency’s East Bank Campground along Highway 43 while keeping everything else south of Highway 43 closed to allow firefighting operations to continue.
