CASPER, Wyo. - In coordination with Natrona County and the City of Casper, the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center will temporarily close May 28 due to potential traffic impacts associated with the event at the Ford Wyoming Center. The Trails Center parking lot will close at 5 p.m. on May 27 and will reopen at 8 a.m. on May 29.
On Sunday, May 29, stop by the Trails Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a live Native American art demonstration by special guest Gerald Cournoyer. Cournoyer is an accomplished painter and member of the Oglala Sioux tribe. Drawing from his heritage, Cournoyer’s paintings combine symbolic colors with features inspired by Lakota culture.
