U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield, met today with President Hassen Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia. They discussed a range of opportunities to support Somalia’s efforts to address the humanitarian crisis and counter Al-Shabaab. Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield underscored the importance of demonstrating progress against targets set in the Security Council Resolution 2628. The Ambassador also reaffirmed the United States’ support for delivering humanitarian aid in Somalia.
