The Cambodian American Opera Project partnership is bringing a cultural celebration to Lowell, Massachusetts this week. Lowell National Historical Park, in collaboration with a nascent network of organizations, is hosting the preview performances of this evolutionary opera, “Where Elephants Weep" in Lowell April 27-29. In blending the musical traditions of Cambodia and America, the audiences will have the opportunity to hear the ancient tempos while also absorbing the cadences of the future.
