The USS Arizona Memorial will close early on April 23, 2009

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on April 14, 2009. It is reproduced in full below.

The USS Arizona Memorial Visitor Center will close one hour early on April 23, 2009. This is due to a temporary water shutoff connected with construction activities of the new visitor center campus.

The last program (which includes the navy boat ride to the memorial) of the day will begin at 2:15 p.m., concluding at 3:30 p.m. The visitor center will close at 4:00 p.m.

Normal operations of the visitor center and memorial will resume the following day. Regular business hours are as follows: visitor center opens at 7:00 a.m. and closes at 5:00 p.m. The first program of the day begins at 7:45 a.m. and the last program of the day begins at 3:00 p.m.
