Fatality at Rocky Mountain National Park

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on April 29, 2009. It is reproduced in full below.

At 7:00 a.m. today, a park staff member on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park discovered a vehicle off of US 34 approximately three-tenths of a mile south of Kawuneeche Visitor Center. The burned vehicle was off the road and there was a deceased person inside.

An investigation is ongoing by the FBI, Rocky Mountain National Park and the Grand County Sheriff’s office. No further information is available at this time.
