A local fisherman was found dead in Yosemite National Park near Windy Point, along Highway 140 this morning. Keith Robinson, 62, of Midpines, left his home after work to fish in Yosemite on Aug. 17, 2009. When he failed to return home the next morning he was reported overdue to Yosemite dispatch.

Yosemite Rangers found his vehicle in a pull-out near Windy Point. After searching for him Rangers spotted Robinson’s body where they pronounced him dead on scene from injuries suffered from a fall.

Windy Point is a designated pull-out along the side of Highway 140 located just west of Arch Rock Entrance Station. Access to the river from the pull-out consists of steep rocky terrain.
