On Saturday, April 10, 2010, Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park is hosting an annual Park Day volunteer activity. The Civil War Preservation Trust (CWPT) sponsors Park Day, a yearly opportunity for the community to help care for local, state, and federal Civil War sites. Projects include tree plantings, building picnic tables, and some trail maintenance. Interested volunteers should sign up by calling 770-427-4686 x 0. Volunteers need not bring tools, only themselves and a great attitude! For more information on Park Day, please visit the CWPT’s website at www.cwpt.org/parkday.
Volunteers should meet at 9:00 a.m. at the Park’s maintenance facility. The work day will end at noon. This activity is open to anyone interested from ages 10 years old and older. All supplies are provided. Please call 770-427-4686 x 0 between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. with any questions.
