Members of the Army Ground Forces Association will be in 1943 era coast artillery uniform as they restore and interpret Battery Gunnison and its 6-inch guns. Step back in time to March 1943, to when the battery was being prepared for initial activation with the movement of the two 6-inch guns from Battery Peck.

The 1884 Keeper’s Quarters has exhibits on New Jersey lighthouses. The nearby keeper’s barn is always open with a video on the history of the Sandy Hook lighthouse. The lighthouse tower can be climbed in the afternoon. You must be 48 inches tall to climb the tower.
