Donated to the park in 1971, Riverfront is one in a series of five paintings commissioned in 1936 for the 905 Liquor Store in downtown St. Louis. The painting was recently exhibited in the Joe Jones: Radical Painter of the American Scene exhibit at the St. Louis Art Museum.

The administrative offices are located on the second floor of the Old Courthouse, 11 North 4th Street, St. Louis, Missouri, and are accessible by stairs only. The offices are open to the public from 8:00 am-4:00 pm Monday-Friday, but are closed on weekends and federal holidays.
