What: A Sea Music Festival, featuring singers, instrumentalists, and dance troupes, held at San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park.

Where: From two stages on Hyde Street Pier, onboard the historic vessels Balclutha and Eureka, and in the Visitor Center Theater.

Join the park on Saturday, Aug. 25, for a day and evening of traditional music from around the world, in celebration of the America's Cup races happening the same day. Experience traditional songs of the sea with The Johnson Girls, Shay Black, Dan Milner, The Barbary Ghosts, Holdstock and Macleod, and many more singers, plus children's storyteller Cynthia Cudaback.
See Bay Area performers representing the music and traditional dances of some of the countries competing in America's Cup: Dance troupes Maori Mo Ake Tonu, performing dances of New Zealand's Maori, and the Flying Angels Chinese Dance Company, instrumental group Les Campagnards (French music), and, touring from British Columbia, famed sea music performer Tom Lewis. Listen to traditional Irish music performed by the exciting new band The Jammy Dodgers. The festival will also feature young performers representing a new generation of singers, including Jeremy Friedenthal, the new band Month's Advance, Miriam Rubenson, and Avery Risling-Sholl.
The park's costumed Living History players will be on hand along Hyde Street Pier, and onboard the Balclutha for shipboard demonstrations led by chanteyman Salty Walt.
Workshops on African American and Caribbean chanteys, Irish traditions, French traditions, and on Songs New and Old will be held onboard the ferryboat Eureka. Kids can enjoy craft-making onboard the ferry, and performances especially for kids in the Visitor Center Theater.
San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park is located at the west end of Fisherman's Wharf, in San Francisco.
