Grand Gap Loop to be Temporarily Closed to Bicycles Due to Special Event

The 19th Annual Big South Fork 17.5 Mile and 10k Trail Race will be held on Sept. 29, 2012, beginning at 8:30 a.m. (Eastern Time). The foot race will start and end at the Bandy Creek Trailhead and utilize a portion of the John Litton/General Slaven Trail, the Fall Branch connector trail, and the Grand Gap Loop Trail. Due to the high amount of foot traffic, the Grand Gap Loop Trail will be closed to bicycle riders until noon on September 29.
