East Side of Park:
Winter Storytime for Kids! - Daily from December 23 to January 1 at 10:00 a.m. Come and read with a Ranger and hear stories about the wonders of the winter season. Meet at Fall River Visitor Center (located on Hwy 34) for this 30 minute program. No program will be held on December 25.
Skins and Skulls -Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Beaver Meadows Visitor Center (located on Hwy 36). Come to this 30 minute program for a hands-on experience and meet Rocky's wildlife!
Animals in Winter - Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Beaver Meadows Visitor Center (located on Hwy 36). Discover the amazing adaptations that allow animals to survive winter in the park in this 30 minute program.
Winter Ecology Walks - Dec. 23, 24, 27, 30 and Jan. 2, 4, and 5 at 12:30 p.m. Join a Ranger to explore the winter world of the subalpine forest. Participants must be older than 8 years of age, and they will need to bring their own snowshoes or traction devices depending on snow conditions. Reservations required and can be made a week ahead of time - call (970) 586-1223.
Full Moon Walk - Join a Ranger to explore the park under the light of the full moon on December 28. Reservations are necessary and may be made no more than seven days in advance, call 970-586-1223 to reserve a spot.
West Side of Park:

Additional Activities - See the stunning 23 minute park film Spirit of the Mountains, shown by request from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. daily at Beaver Meadows Visitor Center (located on Hwy 36) and Kawuneeche Visitor Center. Visitor Centers - Beaver Meadows Visitor Center (Highway 36) and Kawuneeche Visitor Center (west side): Open 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. daily and features the free park film, bookstore, and general park information. Fall River Visitor Center (Highway 34): Open December 26 through Jan. 1, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and features general park information, life-sized wildlife displays, a bookstore, and a discovery room where kids can touch objects and try on dress up clothes!
All park visitor centers are closed on December 25. Programs and activities are free and open to the public. Call the park's Information Office at (970) 586-1206 for more information.
