POINT MARION, Pa: An awards presentation and reception will be heldon Fridayevening,July 19, at the Arts Monongahela Gallery in Morgantown to honor the thirteen area photographers who submitted entries in “Friendship Hill through the Seasons", a photo contest jointly sponsored by the Friendship Hill Association and Arts Mon. West Virginia University Photography Professor Michael Sherwin judged the submissions. Prizes will be awarded in both adult and youth categories.
Photographs entered in the show will be on display at the gallery fromJuly 8 through July 31. In September the photos will be exhibited at Friendship Hill in conjunction with our annual FestiFall celebration.
Artists were asked to submit either color or black and white photographs of the mansion at Friendship Hill or the surrounding grounds and trails. During July visitors to Arts Mon will be asked to vote on their selection for “Best in Show." Each $1.00 vote will benefit the gallery and its mission to facilitate fine arts partnerships among residents, businesses, West Virginia University, artists, and arts organizations in the Greater Morgantown community.
