LAKE MOHAVE WATER LEVELS TO DROP DURING BOR RAZORBACK SUCKER HARVEST
BOULDER CITY, Nev. - Bureau of Reclamation Lower Colorado Region officials are lowering water levels in Lake Mohave to aid in annual endangered fish species conservation Oct. 22 through late November.
Water levels will steadily lower from 640 feet to an elevation of about 633 feet by the week of Nov. 18. Water levels will begin rising again by late November as the razorback sucker fish project is finished.
Launch ramps will remain open during the annual drawdown. Boaters are advised to be alert of the changing lake. Because new sandbars and vegetation may appear, it is best to follow the main channel buoy markers and reduce speed, until familiar with the new water depths.
