The staff and volunteers of Fort Pulaski National Monument will focus on this moment in the fort’s history from Friday, January 3 through Sunday, January 5, 2014. To simulate the historic event, the Georgia flag of secession will fly above the fort from January 3 until March 4, 2014, the 153rd anniversary of the adoption of the first official national flag of the Confederacy. During this time, the park will interpret the fort as a Confederate occupied military installation daily, except on Saturdays. The park will continue to demonstrate the Union occupation of the fort on Saturdays.

Fort Pulaski is located on US Highway 80 E, 12 miles east of Savannah. The entrance fee is $5.00 per adult. Children under the age of 16 are free.
