Celebrate National Park Week at Craters of the Moon
National Park Week is April 19-27
Craters of the Moon National Monument & Preserve invites everyone to get out and enjoy their public lands during National Park Week. All 401 national parks are waiving entrance fees on April 19 and 20 to celebrate.
There are 7 national parks in Idaho

* City of Rocks National Reserve
* Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument
* Minidoka National Historic Site
* Nez Perce National Historic Site
* Yellowstone National Park
The Loop Road is Open
The scenic seven-mile loop road at Craters of the Moon National Monument, located about halfway between Arco and Carey off of U.S. Highway 20/26/93, is clear of snow and open to automobile travel. The campground and trails, including all caves on the Caves Trail, are also open. Free cave permits are available at the visitor center.
Join us for ranger-guided cave walks (daily at 1 p.m. April 20-28) and short talks at the visitor center (daily at 3 p.m. April 20-28). In addition, all kids are invited to become a Junior Ranger by completing the fun activities in the free booklet available at the visitor center.
