Springdale, UT - The National Park Service announces the release of a prospectus for a new concession contract award to provide guided interpretive horseback rides within Zion National Park.
The current concession contract for providing these visitor services, held by Bryce-Zion Trail Rides, Inc. since 2003, will expire on Dec. 31, 2014. The new 10-year concession contract is anticipated to take effect Jan. 1, 2015.
A one-day site visit is scheduled for June 26, 2014, to allow interested parties an opportunity to view the facilities. The site visit will begin at 10:00 a.m. (MST) in the Zion Lodge auditorium in Zion National Park and is expected to end by 12:00 p.m. in the same location. Comfortable walking shoes, hat, water and sun screen is encouraged.

This site can be used to access the prospectus, which provides information on the business opportunity and the terms and conditions of the contract. Hard copies of the prospectus are available for a fee and must be requested from the National Park Service Intermountain Regional Office per the information on the National Park Service Commercial Services website.
Proposals must be submitted by Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014.
