Beaufort and Harkers Island Visitor Centers will be closed on Sundays

HARKERS ISLAND, NC -Superintendent Pat Kenney announced that Beaufort and Harkers Island Visitor Centers will now be closed on Sundays, starting Jan. 18, 2015 to March 30, 2015. Both Beaufort and Harkers Island Visitor Centers will remain open Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Island Express Ferry Service will still be available 7 days a week from Beaufort and Harkers Island locations. On Harkers Island, the ferry departs from the Harkers Island Visitor Center located at 131 Charles Street, Harkers Island, NC 28531. In Beaufort, the ferry will depart from the Town docks on Front Street located at 701 Front Street, Beaufort, NC 28516. Beaufort and Harkers Island Visitor Centers will return to 7 day operations on March 30, 2015.
