The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on Feb. 9, 2015. It is reproduced in full below.

In celebration of the National Park Service's upcoming centennial in 2016, the Obed Wild and Scenic River announces another healthy hike for Valentine's Day. Be heart healthy and join a hike with a ranger. Participants should meet at 10 a.m. EST in the Rock Creek Campground parking area on Feb. 14, 2015. Ranger Hall will lead this short, less than a mile, hike out the Emory River nature trail. Participants should wear weather appropriate clothing, bring plenty of water, and bring anything else needed for the hike. Well-behaved dogs on leash are always invited. Questions and curiosities are always welcome along the way!

For more information, please contact the park at (423) 346-6294.
