Girl Scouts from every state in the Union and all over California are taking part in a Girl Scout Bridging event this Saturday! Approximately 7,000 girls and 1,000 volunteers will be joined by National Park Service leaders for a walk across the Golden Gate Bridge. The walk will be followed by a special announcement of the details of the new Girl Scout Ranger Program during a ceremony on Crissy Field, in Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
The new Girl Scout Ranger Program will provide girls with access to national parks throughout the United States, including monuments, seashores and urban sites. Girls will participate in a variety of organized educational and outdoor service projects to earn certificates and patches.
