Extended Hours at Homestead National Monument of America

Summer operating hours will begin at Homestead National Monument of America. Starting on Saturday May 30, 2015, the monument will be open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Along with the extended summer hours, the monument will offer a wide variety of special programs. Beginning June 1, 2014 the Freeman School will be open daily1-4 p.m.

"Summer is an exciting time of year to visit Homestead National Monument of America," stated Superintendent Mark Engler. "Some of the highlights include a Jack Gladstone concert on June 14, Homestead Days demonstrations and 6 concertsJune 19-21, the Land Records and Genealogy Symposium July 10 and 11, and the summer campfire series Saturdays July 4 -August 8. There will also be two U.S. Immigration Naturalization ceremonies, June 12 September 17."

Homestead National Monument of America is a unit of the National Park Service located four miles west of Beatrice, Nebraska and 45 miles south of Lincoln.
