Glen Jean, West Virginia-Continue to celebrate southern West Virginia's rich history through the winning photographs of the 2015 Hidden History Photo Contest exhibit. Each photo highlights a different part of the region's heritage. This annual contest was open to West Virginia amateur photographers, youth and adult.
Twenty-seven heritage-based images are in this display that will now rotate through several visitor center locations during the autumn and winter seasons. This exhibit can also be viewed online at www.nps.gov/beri/planyourvisit/hidden-history-photo-contest.htm. Here is this season's photo exhibit schedule:
* October 2015: Coal Heritage Museum at the depot in Bramwell, West Virginia. Open Friday and Saturday10:00 amto 5:00 pm and Sunday11:00 amto4:00 pm.
* November 2015: Hatfield and McCoy Convention and Visitor Bureau, 325 Stratton Street in Logan, West Virginia. Open Monday through Friday,9:00 amto4:30 pm.
* December 2015: Canyon Rim Visitor Center of New River Gorge National River in Lansing, West Virginia. Open daily 9:00 am to5:00 pm.
* January 2015: Sandstone Visitor Center of New River Gorge National River in Sandstone, West Virginia. Open daily9:00 amto5:00 pm.
