Thurmond Depot Visitor Center Closing for the Season Soon

Glen Jean, West Virginia-This weekend is the last chance to visit the Thurmond Depot Visitor Center in Thurmond for the 2015 season. This National Park Service depot facility will be open10:00 am to 5:00 pmonOctober 24 and 25. Though this visitor center will be closing for the winter, the Thurmond Historic District is there to explore year-round.

New River Gorge National River's Canyon Rim Visitor Center in Lansing and Sandstone Visitor Center in Sandstone are open year round, daily9:00 am to 5:00 pm(closedNov. 26,Dec. 25, andJanuary 1). The depot visitor center will reopen Memorial Day weekend of 2016.
