Christmas Bird Count at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore 2015

INDIANA DUNES NATIONAL LAKESHORE: Tens of thousands of volunteers throughout the Americas take part in an adventure that has become a family tradition among generations. Families and students, birders and scientists, armed with binoculars, bird guides and check lists go out on an annual mission -often before dawn.

INDIANA DUNES NATIONAL LAKESHORE: Help make an enormous contribution to conservation.Become a citizen scientist at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore who will brave the snow, cold or rain to take part in this year's Christmas Bird Count. The National Audubon Society and other organizations will use data collected in this longest running wildlife census to assess the health of bird populations and to guide conservation action.

Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore will be facilitating this count on Wednesday December, 30 in the "INDW" birding circle. The circle is located in the northeast parts of Lake and the northwest parts of Porter County.
