Celebrate National Park Week at the Parkway Information Cabin in Ridgeland

RIDGELAND, MS: April 16 to 24, 2016 is National Park Week. In celebration of this event and the National Park Service Centennial, the Natchez Trace Parkway will host a Centennial Celebration at the Parkway Information Cabin onApril 23from10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Enjoy live music by Trace Traditions from11:00 am to 1:00 pm, see a Dutch oven cooking demonstration, and make a fun craft to take home.

Trace Traditions play traditional Mississippi blues, country favorites, and many familiar songs.Visitors are welcome to stop by for a few minutes, or bring a chair or blanket and stay awhile to enjoy some traditional music in the park.

National Park Week is held each year in April. It is about helping park visitors make great connections, explore amazing places, and discover open spaces, all while celebrating our national heritage and the importance of what our national parks offer.

This event is free to the public. The Parkway Information Cabin is located at milepost 102.4 on the Natchez Trace Parkway, in Ridgeland, Mississippi. For additional information, please call (601) 856-7321.
