Yoga Offered at National Lakeshore's Douglas Center

INDIANA DUNES NATIONAL LAKESHORE: Join experienced yoga instructor Angela Applegate Carver on Saturday, April 30, 1:00 pm, at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore’s Paul H. Douglas Center for easy yoga poses while a nature story takes you through the various stretches. This free program is suitable for all ages.

This program takes place during the center’s Open House which is offered everySaturdayfrom9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.A different program is featured each week, but the center always has craft activities for children, hands-on exhibits, and even an animal room with resident amphibians, reptiles and fish.Children can build and create in the adjacent Nature Play Zone where supplies like rocks and sticks of all sizes along with shovels, rakes, ropes and buckets are furnished.

The Paul H. Douglas Center for Environmental Education is located in the western portion of the national lakeshore at 100 North Lake Street, about one mile north of U.S. Highway 12.
