History Revealed Presentation -The True Story of Yokoi
On Saturday, May 14, 2016, at 2:00 pm, join us at the T. Stell Newman Visitor Center as Jeff Pleadwell, the pirate of Jeff's Pirates Cove, reveals for the first time the true story of Sgt. Shoichi Yokoi's capture in 1972.
Jeff had befriended Yokoi on his trips back to Guam since 1972, in return, Yokoi revealed the details of his capture in the remote Bubulao region of the island. Yokoi's time on Guam became Jeff's interest as evident in his creation of the Seaside Museum. Jeff will detail Yokoi's adventure on Guam for 28 years after the Liberation of Guam in 1944.
