Attempted Robbery in Anacostia Park

WASHINGTON - At approximately 2:18 p.m. on Monday, September 5, 2016, four juveniles assaulted two bicyclists on the Anacostia River Trail near the CSX railroad crossing. The assaults took place during the attempted commission of a robbery. Both victims were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Detectives investigating the case believe there was a witness to this crime and are seeking the assistance of the public. If you have any information pertaining to this assault, please call (202) 610-7500 to speak with a detective.
