Fatal Crash on the Suitland Parkway

Washington - The United States Park Police is investigating a fatal car crash that occurred around 8:20 p.m. in Southeast Washington, D.C. Two vehicles crashed in the intersection of Suitland Parkway and Forestville Road. One driver was pronounced dead on scene after extensive

CPR was performed. The infant passenger was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. The driver of the other vehicle was also transported to the hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries.

The roadway was closed for approximately six hours while officers investigated the crash.

During the investigation, a vehicle crashed into an unoccupied USPP cruiser that was parked within the original crash scene. No injuries are reported in relation to this crash and the driver has been arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
