Visitation to Obed WSR Increases for Tenth Consecutive Year in 2016

Obed WSR recorded 231,390 visits in 2016, during the National Park Service Centennial. “For over 40 years visitors from around the world have come to Tennessee to revel in one of the nation’s premier places for outdoor recreation," said Superintendent Niki Nicholas. “Indeed, we had our highest visitation in the last 12 years, due in part to the Centennial Find Your Park/Encuentra Tu Parque campaign launched with the National Park Foundation, which reached new audiences."

Visitation at Obed WSR has increased steadily for the last 10 consecutive years and is on track to make it 11 in 2017. These are visitation numbers at Obed Wild & Scenic River:
