Total Fire Restrictions in Effect at Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on Aug. 8, 2017. It is reproduced in full below.

Due to extreme conditions, all fires at Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area are prohibited effective 12:01 am, Friday, Aug. 11, 2017 until further notice. No open flames are permitted. This includes, but is not limited to; all fires in NPS provided fire rings and boxes, charcoal fires, tiki torches, incense burners, candles, and propane campfires. Exceptions include self-contained propane or gas stoves or lanterns.
