Due to continued hazardous conditions as a result of the recent winter storm, National Park Service visitor facilities at Fort Raleigh National Historic Site will remain closed on Friday, January 5.

“I am hopeful that all of our visitor centers and off-road vehicle permit offices will reopen this weekend and I urge everyone to use caution when driving or walking along beaches that have experienced significant erosion" said National Parks of Eastern North Carolina Superintendent David Hallac.
