Summit Restrooms Closed April 2-5, 2018

The restrooms at Haleakalā Visitor Center will be closed from Monday, April 2-Thursday, April 5, 2018. They will re-open Friday, April 6. These restrooms are at 9,741 feet of elevation, which is 11 miles past the Summit Entrance Station. Portable toilets will be available for visitor use.

The restrooms at the Headquarters Visitor Center, located at 7,000 feet of elevation, will remain open. Headquarters Visitor Center is one mile past the Summit Entrance Station.

The closure is due to needed facility maintenance. The toilets at Hosmer Grove, Halemau‘u Trailhead, and Kalahaku Overlook will also be open during this work. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding as we improve park facilities.
