Hawk Creek Lane Restriction at Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on Nov. 1, 2018. It is reproduced in full below.

Due to undercutting action of Hawk Creek on the access road between the Hawk Creek campground and boat launch, the road will be reduced to one lane until further notice. Barriers will be put in place by November 9, 2018 and will remain in place until the road has been repaired. The National Park Service is working with the Federal Highway Administration to develop and implement a long-term solution to stabilize the affected portion of the access road.

We also encourage everyone to drive carefully and make sure there is no on-coming traffic before entering that section of the road. For more information, check the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area website at www.nps.gov/laro.
