for American Battlefield Trust Park Day

Appomattox, VA-On Saturday, April 20th, 2019, Appomattox Court House NHP will participate in the 23rd annual Park Day, sponsored by the American Battlefield Trust. This year’s project will be to build and paint a large section of picket fence within the historic village of Appomattox Court House. Participants should arrive at the park at 8:45 a.m. and plan to stay until 3:00-3:30 p.m. Water will be provided, but participants should bring their own lunch. The ABT will provide t-shirts to all volunteers. This event is an excellent opportunity to continue preserving our nation’s Civil War sites and parks for present and future generations.

The park is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For more information or to RSVP for the event, contact Alyssa Holland, Volunteer Coordinator, at e-mail us or at 434-352-8987 ext. 234 or check out the Battlefield Trust Website at https://www.battlefields.org/events/park-day.
