Saguaro National Park will have trail crews on the Cactus Forrest Loop Drive next Tuesday, April 16th. Visitors should expect momentary delays between 7am and 5:30pm through Friday, April 19th. Crews will not be on the Loop over the weekend and will resume work on Monday, April 22nd and 23rd.
Crews will be working in the parking lot and near the fee booth all the way to Javalina Picnic area. All motor vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians will be stopped intermittently, with delays not to exceed 15 minutes.
Park staff will be working to clear Loop of overgrowth and will be using chainsaws and a large wood chipper to accomplish this work.
